    Kerry White of Warsaw recently performed very well in TAC track meets held at Purdue University and Indiana University.

On Feb. 10, White was the girls 17-19 age group champion in the 800-meter run at Purdue. Her time was 2:34:1. On Feb. 3, White ran in the TAC Junior Championships (for ages 17-20) in Bloomington. She was second in the 800 in 2:31:26.

    Tim E. Engle, of Rt. 5, Box 32, Warsaw, has been named to the President's List for excellence in his studies during the fall quarter at Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne.

Engle is a 1972 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and is now a senior at Indiana Tech majoring in electrical engineering.

    Thirteen honorary certificates for work in the Hoosier Swine Testing project were recently awarded to five Kosciusko County hog breeders, Paul Jackson, county agent, announced.

The certificates were presented by the Indiana Livestock Breeder's Association to F. Leslie Orr, Duroc breeder, Pierceton; Leroy Norris, Mentone, and W.R. Wedrick Farms, Silver Lake, Hampshire breeders; Charles Decker, Claypool, Duroc breeder; and Richard Higgins, Silver Lake, Minnesota No. 1 breeder.

    A laundry thief made off with a basket filled with wearing apparel and household linens from the front porch of the Clarence Cox home at 1015 E. Center St. on last Tuesday morning between 8 and 9 o'clock. Put out for the laundryman at 8 o'clock the laundryman appeared at 9 o'clock and found no basket. Today when Mrs. Cox expected it to be returned from the laundry the laundryman told her he had failed to get it.
