    R.R. Donnelley & Sons, which already is providing land for the City-County Athletic Complex, has provided another gift for the budding sports complex in Warsaw.

The printing company announced it would give the CCAC $38,000 - enough to cover expenses to fence the entire second pinwheel of softball fields.

    Thought to be the oldest resident of Kosciusko County, Mary Elizabeth Jones, of rural Millwood, celebrated her 106th birthday recently. Residing in a large farmhouse between Etna Green and Nappanee, Jones was born in a log cabin on Feb. 12, 1873. She has lived when the spectacular centennial and bicentennial celebrations were held in the United States.

    Members of the Order of Eastern Star of Milford, elected new officers at the meeting held at Milford.

Mrs. Don Cecil was elected worthy matron, Paul Kizer, worthy patron, Mrs. Herbert Baumgartner, associate matron, Don Rock, associate patron, Mrs. Robert Reed, secretary, Esther Poynter, treasurer, Mrs. Claude Hamilton, conductress and Mrs. Charles Purdum, associate conductress.

    Farmers who have sugar camps on their property are now preparing for the run of the sap and syrup making.

While the camps are much fewer in recent years, there are yet many sugar camps in this vicinity. Owners of the camps are now cleaning the pans and buckets and getting the camps in shape for the early spring run of sap. It is believed that with normal conditions existing, the sap run will begin within ten days or two weeks and will continue throughout the month of March.
