    Jack Moon, Warsaw, was selected as Da-Lite Screen Company's "Employee of the Month" for December 1988.

Moon received high praise from department supervisor Gayle Coy for his responsiveness to others' needs for assistance, going even beyond his own normal duties, to help out other departments.

    Helen Warren and Shirley Frantz finished in first and second places respectively in the recently completed Women's City Bowling Tournament held at Gilliam and Holiday Lanes. Warren rolled a 634 total, while Frantz had a 616 score.

    Mrs. Lulu Snellenberger, of OUR TOWN, has just completed 26 years of perfect attendance, except for two Sundays when she was ill, at Sunday school at the First Brethren Church here. She taught in the primary department for 21 years and was primary superintendent for five year.

    That bewhiskered, two-legged, dog-faced fish, captured by Garrett Osborn in Winona Lake and displayed in the Times office all last week to wondering local naturalists, has been classified.

It's a common mud eel or Siren Lacertina, according to Mrs. Walter Pape, wife of the Warsaw tree surgeon. Mr. and Mrs. Pape are students of animal and vegetable life and yesterday took Mr. Mud Eel home with them and spent the evening tracing his ancestry in authentic zoological books.
