    NORTH WEBSTER - John W. Cripe modestly accepted the North Webster Chamber of Commerce Person of the Year award Monday night.

When outgoing chamber president Jeanne Thomas said that Cripe was "very deserving" of the award, he responded with a boyish grin and said, "Oh, I don't know about that."

    Everette Dunkleberger, 914 E. Garfield St., Warsaw, has been named Director of Buildings and Grounds for the Warsaw Community School System. The position carries a salary of $11,200.

    Mrs. Herman Allen, of Leesburg, will be president of the Leesburg Reading Club for the coming year. Other officers of the club will be Mrs. Eva Bridenbach, vice president; Mrs. Edward Good, secretary; Mrs. Clarence Fried, treasurer.

    The new $10,000 pipe organ the Presbyterian Church is now installing is to be dedicated Feb. 12 by a recital to be given by Edwin Stanley Seder, organist, and Mme. Else Harthan Arendt, soprano. Mr. Seder is recognized as one of the great organists of our country and is greatly in demand for organ recitals.
