Warsaw City policeman Fred Heady, severely injured while on duty Thanksgiving Day, is coming home from the hospital for the first time today. A police escort will take him to his home south of town.
Mrs. Lester (Frances) Davis was honored last night at the Warsaw Community Education Association annual banquet for 30 years of faithful teaching. She taught the last 21 years at Atwood School. Her husband, Lester Davis, is principal at Warsaw Freshman High School.
Roy Anderson, of the Anderson Greenhouses, was handing out real valentines Saturday morning in the business district. The valentines were red and white carnations grown in his greenhouses just north of Warsaw on Road 15. Each member of the Times office force was presented with a boutonniere.
George Jackman on Valentine's Day celebrated his 62nd birthday. "I'm no comic Valentine, either, I want you Times reporters to understand," said Uncle George. "I've spent every birthday in Warsaw and vicinity in that 62 years except the first five years, and I'm going to spend the rest of them here, too. Gim'me those government garden seeds. Spring is here and I got to get ready."
