    Nearly 50 people took a dive into Center Lake this weekend as part of an ice training seminar presented by the Aquatics Underwater Recovery and Rescue Squad of Lake County and the Warsaw Police Dive Team.

    Roger Vore of Vore Cinemas today announced that he has purchased the Pickwick and the Wa-Wa Drive-In theaters from Leon Vance. Vore, who also operates the Center Cinema in Warsaw, said that remodeling is under way.

    Former U.S. Army Captain Joe Mendenhall, local druggist, being named as nominee for president of Kosciusko County reserve officer association. Veteran air Corps Captain Bill Wagner, 815 E. Fort Wayne St., is present head.

Feb. 20 1922

    Frightened by the noise made by steam escaping from a pop valve at the brick mill on South Union Street, a horse belonging to Harvey Evans, residing southeast of Warsaw, ran away and badly damaged an enclosed buggy to which he was hitched. As the horse turned at the corner of Union and Market streets the buggy was overturned and dragged until it struck a Ford coupe belonging to Wilbur Maish and parked in front of the Little Crow Milling Company.
