    Warsaw Police Captain Eugene Brown will leave a 21-year career in law enforcement and enter a companion field in the county probation department come January.

"Brownie" will join long-time crime-fighter Herschel "Bud" Harper and veteran Probation Officer William Reneker in the Kosciusko County Probation Office around Jan. 8.

    Warsaw Firemen held their annual election meeting and named William Walgamuth Sr., as captain, Charles Sanier first lieutenant, Joseph Templeton second lieutenant, Bob Brumfield secretary and E.F. (Swede) Rydquist treasurer.

The fire chief, Wes Hay, is appointed by the major, and the chief appoints his assistant, who is Earl Johnson.
