Kevin Masur has been selected as the Warsaw ambassador to the 1995 Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation Leadership Seminar.
Masur will attend the Indiana Leadership Seminar in Indianapolis with other sophomores from throughout the state. He is the son of Dennis and Lori Masur, Warsaw.

Fire Chief Norman A. Banghart will officially retire from the Warsaw Fire Department Dec. 31.
The 62-year-old fire chief, who has been a member of the Warsaw Fire Department for 27-1/2 years, served as fire chief for 22-1/2 years and was previously a volunteer city fireman for five years. He was also a Winona Lake fireman for five years, bringing his total firefighting career up to 32-1/2 years.

Beverly Ann Baker, 18, North Manchester, has been named Indiana girl 4-H winner in the 1954 leadership program, for outstanding guidance of club projects.
A 4-H'er for 10 years, Baker has served her club as recreational leader, song leader, secretary and treasurer, devotional leader, program hostess and camp planner. She helped plan tours for club members, and has won the Star Camper award in 1951 and the Star Counselor award this year.

Carlton Stewart, student at North Manchester College, won the debating honors of the school in a debating contest held at the college. The subject was, "The St. Louis Waterways." Stewart is the son of R.A. Stewart of this city.
