    TOLEDO, Ohio - Former Warsaw student Dana Creighton scored 11 points to help the University of Toledo women's basketball team get off to a 2-0 start for the 1993-94 season.

The all-time leading scorer in Warsaw girls basketball history, Creighton was the 1991 Times-Union Area Player of the Year.

    NORTH WEBSTER - Robert Brindle and Chester Richmond were hired by the board to serve on the North Webster Police Department.

Brindle, 30, Milford, has been employed as a full-time deputy marshal and Richmond, 32, Pierceton, will be a night deputy.

    Stanley Scott, of Claypool, won three ribbons with his showing of breeding Corriedale lambs at the International Livestock show at Chicago Thursday, taking second and third with his ram lambs and second for ewe lambs.

    Officers elected by the Warsaw Kiwanis Club at the noon luncheon were: Thurl Pottenger, president; Irvin Van Dyke, vice president; and Elmer B. Funk, treasurer. The secretary is elected by the board of directors. Two director elected were Dr. J.A. Gordon and John Whiteneck.
