A letter written by Rev. A.R. Camp, army chaplain stationed in a hospital at Alexandria, La., has been received by Elizabeth Barnshisel, Akron, after having been in the mails for a period of 61 years. The letter was written to notify Barnshisel of the death of her husband, Cornelius Barnshisel, a Union soldier. The letter, just received by Mrs. Barnshisel, came from Washington, D.C. How it came to be forwarded after 61 years still is a mystery. The epistle is in excellent condition.
