    Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team defeated Kokomo Christian Friday night 41-27.

The Cougars raced out to a 16-1 first-quarter lead. Kris Doron led the squad with 16 points. Jenni Reeve added nine points and led the team with 11 rebounds.

    The Dalton Foundries Inc., Warsaw, recently honored nine employees with induction as new members into the Twenty-Five Year Club at an annual meeting held at the Shrine building.

In recognition of 25 years of outstanding service, Dalton Foundries president, Eugene E. Paul, presented watches and plaques to employees Leroy Valentine, L. Allen Robinson, Ralph Hughes, Douglas Baker, Bud Wiggs, Robert Grindle, Jimmy Stabuck, Haskel Jackson and John Fisher.

    A few days ago Estelle Lynch, secretary to John F. Kelley, missed a gold bead necklace. She advertised for it, not too hopefully, and was happy to have it returned by Genevieve Hart, who had found it in the alley at the back of the NIPSCO office.
