December 7 1994

    Construction began Nov. 29 on Kosciusko Community Hospital's new helipad.

Funded through donations to the KCH Foundation, the new facility is essential to meet the increasing responsibilities for emergency care in which lives are saved through transporting critically ill and traumatized patients to specialized treatment facilities in Fort Wayne, South Bend and Indianapolis. Investment for the helipad totals $45,000.

    The Buffalo Cleaners-Athletic Annex team won the Kosciusko YMCA Adult Soccer League championship with a 7-0 win over Zimmer-USA in the final game. Team members are Brent Wildman, Steve Blake, Jeff Hoyer, Mike Getz, Dean Zentz, Dennis Lapp, Craig Turner, Bill Henthorn, Bob Long, Jim Schue, Kent Wildman and Errol White.

December 7 1954

    Marcille Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald H. Morris, Claypool, was graduated from the private secretarial school of the International College, Fort Wayne, at commencement exercises held Thursday evening.

Morris is a 1953 graduate of Claypool High School and took part in dramatics, publication and music while at the college.

    BLOOMINGTON - James Leffel, of Warsaw, student at Indiana University, has been named captain of a team to campaign for subscriptions on the campus for "The Arbutus," Indiana yearbook. Two large silver loving cups will be awarded the winning teams.
