    Six Kosciusko County Masons were awarded the 32nd Degree recently at a ceremony at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, Fort Wayne. They are: Bob Turner, Bill Osborn, Harold Voss and Ken Collins, all of Warsaw; Kip E. Tom, Leesburg; and Morrey Hester, Winona Lake. These Masons join 10,200 32nd Degree Masons from 18 northeast Indiana counties.

    Donald H. Fretz, 1511 E. Main St., Warsaw, received the "Warsaw Fireman of the Year" award when the group met at the firemen's building, Pike Lake. Fretz has been with the local fire department as a volunteer since 1973. Warsaw Fire Chief Norman Banghart made the presentation.

    Mrs. Harry Bause, of near North Webster, is president of the newly organized Lady Geneva chapter of the African Violet Society of America. Other officers elected by the chapter are Mrs. R.A. Ferguson vice president; Mrs. Russell Mickley, secretary-treasurer; and Mrs. C.B. Thomas, historian and scrapbook chairman. They were elected at the meeting of the chapter held recently at the home of Mrs. Ferguson, at Yellow Banks, near North Webster.

December 6 1926

    Tippecanoe golf club championship rests in Warsaw. The title was won by E.W. Gresso, Warsaw merchant, after Gresso and Ben Herscher, Pierceton grocer, had played the eighteen holes to a tie with a medal score of 85 each. On the play-off of the next No. 1 hole, Gresso made a par 5 while Herscher drew a 6.
