ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Mrs. Dale McGowen, Mentone, never thought she was a lucky person. But after years of entering sweepstakes, she finally hit it big.

As grand prize winner in the Mainstay¨ brand dog food "Money Game," Mrs. McGowen will now receive $1,000 a year for life - all because of her daughter's dog. While dogsitting Spunky last year she tried the new Purina dog food. She bought the product after reading about the sweepstakes in a book of contests.

Under the administration of President Martin VanBuren, Warsaw's first postoffice was established in 1837, 94 years ago. During that period the post office has occupied rental quarters in the business district. Within a few days the post office will move into a handsome stone structure at the corner of Market and Lake streets, which has been erected at a total cost of $95,000. Postmaster Kilmer is now making the necessary removal arrangements and expects the new building will be in readiness by Dec. 15.
