    ANDERSON - Ryan Long, a member of Anderson University men's cross country team, recently earned all-conference honors.

Long, a 1992 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and the son of Larry and Mary Ellen Long of Warsaw, placed 10th with a time of 27:19 in the Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference Meet to earn the honor.

    SAN ANTONIO - Selected for instruction in the communications electronics field at Keesler AFB, Miss., after completing basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas, is Airman Steven C. Mort, son of Mrs. Sarah Mort, South Whitley, and David Mort, Warsaw.

Airman Mort is a 1974 graduate of Whitko High School and attended Indiana University.

    Glen Longenecker, Syracuse High School principal, presented the championship team trophy to Don Heche, North Webster's reserve team basketball captain after North Webster won the four-way second team tournament at the Syracuse gym last night. North Webster, Leesburg, Milford and Syracuse second teams competed.
