    Daniel Zink, a student at Warsaw Community High School, has been recognized by the College Board for exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Exam.

Zink was recognized as an AP Scholar with Honor by earning grades of three or above on four or more AP examinations, with an average exam grade of at least 3.25. Only about 10 percent of the 359,000 students who took AP examinations in May received recognition.

    Kim Grubbs, a 1975 Warsaw Community High School graduate, recently completed a 70-week course of Lincoln auto mechanics and diesel maintenance while at Lincoln Tech, a "Ryder" school.

Graduation ceremonies were held Nov. 12. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Grubbs, Rt. 6, Warsaw.

    The Marvin Phillips, Claypool, may have set a record for the earliest Christmas dinner in this community. Because they are leaving Monday to spend the winter at Fort Myers, Fla., they entertained last Sunday (Nov. 25) at a traditional holiday feast, with turkey and fixins, at a family get-together.

    Word was received in Warsaw that the Royal Telephone Co., Milford, has been sold to the United Telephone Co., Chicago, for approximately $30,000.

This is the same company which bought the Leesburg exchange and a number of other telephone exchanges in this section of the state.
