    Seven participants were winners in a recent hockey slap shot contest held by the Warsaw Girls Club.

Winners in the 15-foot contest included Justin Sainer and Nikki Davis (8-year-olds), along with Amanda Shafer and Ryan Rhoades (9-year-olds). Also winning in the contest were Caleb Churchill (10-year-olds), Tia Shafer (11) and Aaron Rhoades (12).

    Service awards were presented to employees at Little Crow Foods at the company's annual Christmas party and awards banquet. Joe Railsback and Betty Moltz received an award for five years of service; Eugene Engle was recognized for 20 years of employment; and Robert Hart for 25 years of service with the company.

December 23 1952

    Robert Fields Jr., 22, of Warsaw, who earned the Purple Heart and a sergeant's rating in Korea, then finished four years of army service with a tour of duty in Germany, leaves tomorrow to enter the navy. He reports to Indianapolis and goes from there to San Diego, Calif.

The navy recruit is the son of Stella May Fields, 616 N. Park Ave.

    Clara Snider and Mary Douglass entertained members of the Delta Theta Tau sorority at a Christmas party Wednesday evening at the home of the former. Gifts were exchanged and the evening was spent playing bridge. First prize was won by Mildred Bruner; second, Helen Gilliam; and consultation, Hazel Dunning.
