    Bobby Dale Prater was appointed warrant officer in November after completing warrant officer flight training at Fort Ruder, Ala.

Prater, a 1983 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, was a distinguished honor graduate of his helicopter class. He has been assigned to the 17th AVN Group, South Korea. He is the son of Delmar and Elva Prater of Claypool.

    BOURBON - Tippecanoe Valley High School girls' basketball team improved its record to 4-0 with a 50-40 victory over Triton.

High scorer for Tippecanoe was Cathy Welch with 27 points and 18 rebounds. Runners-up were Dee Wirick with 10, Sharlene Bose with 6 and Sheila Newman with 5 points.

    Members of the auxiliary to the Eagles Lodge enjoyed a card party at the lodge hall. Mrs. Ben Herscher and Katharine Stickler won high scores in bridge and in euchre Mrs. George Mabry and Mrs. Francis Shaffer were the winners. Mrs. Otto Brant and Mrs. William Scholing were in charge of the arrangements for the afternoon.

    Some miscreant on Sunday night removed the street intersection light from its post in Leesburg and replaced it with an empty whisky flask. Some Warsaw men are suspected.
