The Kosciusko County YMCA hosted the state gymnastics competition Dec. 2. The level five Kosco Kippers YMCA team of Christy Bassford, Heather Barrett, Unique Lloyd and Stephanie Campbell won the state championship.
New members from Kosciusko County receiving the 32nd degree at the Scottish Rite Masons were Ned Titus, Jerry Kreger, Eldon Smith, Donald VanGilder, Gilbert Hamilton, Robert Shafer, Joe Bouse, Michael Calobrace, Paul Beezley, Hugh Ressler, Coye Conley, Edward Emerick, Lloyd Moore, Phillip Diers, Vern Landis, Paul Marhover Jr. and William Spratt.
Mrs. Harry Brumbaugh, of Bourbon, was initiated into the Alpha Nu chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma at a formal dinner held at the Westminster Hotel, Winona Lake.
The American Legion Auxiliary held a Christmas tea party at the Legion home. Five tables of bridge and three tables of bunco were enjoyed, with Daisy Phillips winning first bridge prize and Edna Hodges second. Cora Stokes won first prize at bunco and Laura Loy second.
