Teacher Scott McLintock recently experienced the next best thing to being in space. The Jefferson Elementary teacher attended the U.S. Space Academy in Huntsville, Ala., for several days, and went through the complete training session.
Luanna R. Bowen, 1970 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, has been elected to the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges honor program. Miss Bowen, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald H. Bowen, Rt. 8, Wooster Road, Warsaw, is a senior at Azusa Pacific College in Southern California.
When Tom Walter's new East Center and Scott Street store opened up the other day and offered ice cream sodas (unlimited) at five cents each on opening day only, they sold nearly 1,000. Two customers enjoyed 14 ice cream sodas, eating seven each.
Nick Goras, of the Liberty Lunch Restaurant, is celebrating his birthday with a taxi trip to Muncie. Goras yesterday hired a Brown Brothers taxi and motored to Muncie to properly observe his birthday. Russell Brown was his chauffeur.
