    Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Neal Pass, son of Kenneth and Debra Pass of Warsaw, recently received the Navy Good Conduct Medal, which recognizes the service member's honest and faithful service during a three-year-period.

Pass is assigned aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Shiloh, homeported in San Diego.

December 20 1981

    Ten men from Kosciusko County were among the 1981 member James M. Brackett Memorial Class receiving the 32nd Degree at the fall convocation of the Scottish Rite.

New members were Wilfred Hodler, Rex Tinkey, Alan Andres, Alvin E. Bender Jr., Robert G. Tenney, Allen K. Hayes, Darwin E. Call, Jack Fawley, Milford Stephens and John Steffe.

    Bourbon winners of the Marshall County 4-H Crop Show are Mark Martin, reserve champion potatoes and wheat; Jay Wiedeman, champion wheat and soybeans; Loren Stackhouse, first place samples oats and wheat; Robert Wiedeman, first place wheat; Mac Martin, first in oats; and Ka Rettinger, first in wheat.
