    OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University will award degrees to 733 graduates at the winter commencement program Dec. 20.

Among those receiving degrees is Kelly Garrard, Warsaw. Garrard has earned a bachelor of science in family and consumer sciences.

    Accepting the challenge of the position as Kosciusko County's newest probation officer is 30-year-old Thomas M. Roe. He steps into the vacancy left by the retirement of Paul J. Grimme Nov. 30 after nearly seven years with the county.

Roe will join William Reneker in the probation office and will primarily serve Kosciusko Circuit and Superior Courts with some work with Kosciusko County Court.

    Rev. E. J. Beckley, pastor of the Warsaw First Brethren Church, was elected president of the Warsaw-Winona Lake Ministerial association for the coming year at a meeting of the association Monday in the public library here.

Rev. J. Thomas Frost, pastor of the Warsaw Methodist Church, was named vice president, and Rev. O.L. Johnson, of the Church of God, as secretary-treasurer.

    Boy Scout meeting was held at the boys' club last night with a large attendance. Junior Dederick was awarded his second class badge and Robert Morgan, William Jenkins and Wilbur Morrison were awarded their tenderfoot badges.
