    CRAWFORDSVILLE - Warsaw's Jamie Bowers earned a varsity letter as a member of the 1996 Wabash College football team this past fall. It was his first varsity letter in the Wabash football program.

Bowers, a junior at Wabash, is the son of Mrs. Jean A. Reed of Warsaw.

December 14 1981

    David J. Hueber recently was promoted to Specialists 4th Class with the United States Army. He is with the 82nd Engineering Battalion in Bamberg, Germany.

Hueber, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hueber, Larwill, now has completed several courses in radio communications and is also playing football for the battalion.

December 14 1956

    Alice Ann Steele, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Steele, South High Street, will appear with Depauw's concert band in a formal program. Alice Ann, sophomore in College of Liberal Arts, is a member of the clarinet section.

    SOUTH WHITLEY - A barber war here resulted in a slash in barber prices in South Whitley to a pre-war basis. Barbers here offer any of the following items for 15 and 20 cents: Haircut, tonic, singe, shave, shampoo or massage.

Some leading barber shops in Warsaw have reduced to pre-war prices. Hair cuts, 25 cents and shave, 15 cents.
