The Triton High School chapter of the National Honor Society held induction ceremonies recently. The new members are Kim Swartz, Diane Watkins, Trina Gard, Kevin Petersen, Patricia Yarian, Rachael Yeiter, Amy Petersen, Chris Wanemacher, Ryan Hullah, Chris Monesmith, Holly Hepler, Heather Yoder, Jill Wise, Amanda Gerrard, Philip Reed, Misty Marker and Shelly Tuncil.
The Pierceton Masonic Lodge met on Dec. 5 to elect new officers. The officers for the coming year will be: Dr. Robert Whitney, worshipful master; William Hartman, senior warden; Charles Stone, junior warden; William Kownover, senior deacon; and Steve Simison, junior deacon. Appointed officers are: Timothy Collier, senior steward; Randy Stouder, junior steward; David Bowman, tyler; and Duane Ronk, chaplain.
Gordon Vanator, sophomore at Manchester College and son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Vanator, of Warsaw, has been selected to serve as a reporter for the college newspaper, "Oak Leaves." Gordon is a member of the Future Teachers of America and business clubs. He is majoring in secondary education.
Mrs. Elva Hudson entertained her bridge club Wednesday evening at her home on South Indiana Street. Two tables of bridge progress with Mrs. Inez Anglin and Mrs. Hazel Cook winning the prizes.
