The top four poster entries have been selected in the Kosciusko County Firemen's Association Annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest. Winning $100 savings bonds are: Robert Fortner, Silver Lake Elementary; Rachel McDaniel, Burket Elementary; Lauren Curran, Eisenhower Elementary; and Ashley Holdeman, North Webster Elementary.
Judd Cook of Judd Cook Chevrolet handed over the keys to a 1982 Monte Carlo to Rollie Surguy, Warsaw. Surguy won the use of the car for 30 days as part of an Elk's Lodge promotion.
Al Boggs, of Warsaw, and his daughter, Mrs. Mildred Neer, of Saginaw, Mich., displayed an old document showing that his pioneering grandfather, William Boggs, bought 160 acres from the government in 1837. Mr. Boggs still owns 100 acres of the original tract.
The Business and Professional Women's club enjoyed a bridge party at their club rooms. Prize winners were Minnie Gary and Mrs. James Duncan. Refreshments were served by the following committee: Mrs. Paul Chapman, Mrs. Frank Bates and Bessie Smith.
