    The winners of Mental Attitude awards during the fall season at Edgewood Middle School were: Liz Wiggins, Jennifer Finch, Ian Fussle, Grady Randall, Andrea Saldivar and Sean Patrick.

The Mental Attitude awards winners for Lakeview Middle School were: Kristen DeGeeter, Drew Spangle, Kris Hueber, Morgan Michel, Gabe Rager and Abby Sumpter.

    Mary Kralis was named the Warsaw Community High School girls swim team's most improved swimmer and Sherry Clyde the most valuable for the past season.

December 11 1956

    Brook Black, talented 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Black, of the Beaver Dam community, had the pleasure of being a guest at the 4-H National congress breakfast and show, held in the Grand Ball room, Conrad Hilton Hotel, Chicago. Brook is known throughout the surrounding community for his talent, as a roller skate tap dancer.

He was the guest of Harvey F. Mackey, of New York City, head of the national congress talent show.

December 11 1931

    Ruth Bridenthrall of Leesburg was one of a group of eight girls who were made members of the Sigma Alpha Gamma sorority of Fort Wayne at their annual fall initiation. Immediately after the impressive ceremony, a banquet was held in the dining room of the Women's club rooms followed by a program dance together with the Alpha Gamma Upsilon fraternity.
