    BOSTON - Sue Mikel, a former resident of Warsaw and student at Warsaw Community High School, is receiving accolades as a member of the Boston University field hockey team.

Following a recent 1-0 win over Northeastern, Mikel was named to the North Atlantic Conference All-Tournament Team and received Most Valuable Player honors.

    CRAWFORDSVILLE - Three Warsaw youths have pledged social fraternities at Wabash College.

Pledging Kappa Sigma fraternity is Mark Dye, son of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Dye, and Rick Sasso, son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard M. Sasso, and pledging Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity is Blair J. Zykan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Zykan.

    Mr. and Mrs. Loren O. Henry, well known Silver Lake residents will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Dec. 6, by holding open house for relatives and friends.

Before their marriage in Wabash, Dec. 6, 1903, Mrs. Henry was Burley Vance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Vance, who lived east of Silver Lake. Mr. Henry was born at Laketon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry.

    Hannah Armey, Silver Lake, who is past 87 years of age, has in her possession a keepsake which is highly valued by her. It is a piece of home spun linen 9 by 12 inches in size and upon it are worked with different colored thread the alphabet and a number of varied designs. The work was done by Armey's grandmother, Mary Blosser, and bears the date of Aug. 12, 1789.
