Times-Union photographer Gary Nieter fared quite well during last week's Hoosier State Press Association awards banquet in Indianapolis.
A potluck anniversary dinner honoring Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Rockhill of Etna Green was held Nov. 28 at the Etna Green Heritage Park Community Building. The occasion was in celebration of the 68th wedding anniversary of the couple. The Rockhills were married Nov. 26, 1908.
Jesse Deloe Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Deloe Sr., East Market Street, a Warsaw High School senior, was one of 10 students rated highest in debating skill among the 1,200 delegates to the Indiana high school debaters' conference Friday and Saturday at Purdue University.
Dale V. Swanson, Atwood, a senior in the school of agriculture, has been awarded his major "P" for his work with the Purdue University varsity football team during the season, which closed recently. Swanson, a guard, took part in a number of Purdue's games this year and played some fine football. The Atwood student has been a member of the squad for two years.
