    Is a 5,000-seat arena big enough for Warsaw Community High School? That's the question school board members will be deciding during these next two weeks while plans are being finalized for the first phase of building. The new spectator gymnasium is a part of those first plans.

    John Hanna, former high-scoring guard for the Warsaw Tigers basketball team is playing this winter on the starting five at the Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa. John is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ardel Hanna, Warsaw.

Dec. 5 1946

    Native Warsaw resident and industrial leader, Clarence (Red) Maish, celebrating birthday Wednesday. Red, Little Crow Milling Co. operator with brother Bur, was at one time one of Warsaw's best long distance swimmers. It was nothing a few years ago to see him take off for the middle of Center lake during hot spells and remain in deepest parts for several hours.

Dec. 5 1921

    The price of fresh eggs has dropped 10 cents a dozen in Warsaw in two days. Last Friday afternoon eggs were retailed here at 65 cents a dozen. Saturday the price was reduced to 55 cents and Monday morning to 50 cents a dozen.
