    Janelle Sou, age seven, a second grader at Warsaw Christian School, was the winner of a jar of candy corn and candy pumpkins recently at the Warsaw Community Public Library. Janelle guessed there were 258 candies in the jar; the actual count was 260, so she was the closest. The second-closest guess was 265.

Dec. 13 1972

    U.S. Air Force Sergeant David K. Marnett, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Barnett of 707 W. Center St., Warsaw, has arrived for duty at Fort George G. Meade, Md. Sergeant Barnett, a communications analysis specialist, is assigned to the 6970th Air Base Group of the U.S. Air Force Security Service which provides security for Air Force global communications systems. He previously served at Chicksand RAF Station, England.

    A total of 590 people crowded the large south room of the new Litchfield plant in East Warsaw Tuesday night for the second annual Kosciusko County Dairy Achievement banquet, hailing big strides toward the goal of making this "the heart of Indiana's dairyland."

Dec. 13 1922

    The airedale dog which was given to Everett Bishop, residing three miles west of town Monday, was back Tuesday morning with his old master, L.A. Edgar of the Freese Cream Station, ready for his daily ration of scraps, which he is accustomed to sharing with a cat.
