The progress of fifth- and sixth-grade band students in the Warsaw Community High School was shown to the school board Monday evening. Elementary students performing various instruments gave a demonstration of two numbers to the board under the direction of Phil Eherenman and Donna Person.
Winds gusting to 45 miles per hour in Warsaw tore limbs down and did minor damage to all areas of the city, as power lines and television antennas succumbed to the storm. A large tree was blown down across the front yard of the residence of Patricia Oatley, knocking out a front window and tearing down the gutter as it fell.
It's a new Stinson plane for Warsaw manufacturer Frank Saemann, purchased through Howard Smith, owner-operator of the Victory airfield north of Warsaw. Another manufacturer from Warsaw to receive new plane soon is Stanley Arnolt.
William S. Felkner, manager of the Warsaw Overall Company, has disposed of his interests to Charles Ker and Flint Bash, the new proprietors to assume full charge on Jan. 1. Mr. Felkner plans to retire from active business life.
