    Duane Ronk, Route 1, Pierceton, was recently promoted to foreman, general warehouse, for United Telephone of Indiana. Ronk started with United in 1967 as a lineworker and has held various positions including his most recent as customer equipment technician.

Dec. 12 1972

    A film titled "Sound of the Trumpet" might be about a jazz musician. Actually the new 85-minute color movie is a Ken Anderson Films production that focuses on the biblical prophecies of the second return of Jesus Christ on earth. The religious feature will make its world premiere at the Warsaw Community High School auditorium.

    Jim Minear, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulo Minear, 319 W. Center St., is spending a 10-day leave with his parents. Jim, a 1947 Warsaw High School graduate, has been in boot training for the past three months at Great Lakes, Ill. He holds the rank of seaman, second-class.

    The third annual banquet of the Leesburg Horsethief Detective Association will be held next Tuesday evening in the basement of the M.E. Church. Leesburg chapter No. 7 of the Horsethief Detective Association is the oldest organization in the county.
