    Teams of weightlifters from Grace College and Warsaw High School will duel in a special weightlifting demonstration in the Grace College gymnasium in Winona Lake. Special guest for the weightlifting contest will be national and world weightlifting champion Paul Wren.

    Mrs. William Harvuot's sophomore speech class from Warsaw Community High School will be conducting several surveys in the Warsaw area to find out how citizens feel about subjects such as high school youth, annexation, pollution, medical facilities, X-rated movies and many others. The project will help students gain experience in public relations, meeting older persons and dealing with the public.

Dec. 11 1946

    Octogenarian Mary Bidelman, who resides south of Burket and has spent her last 80-odd years in this county, recently paid her first visit to the town of Atwood. Mary had never seen or been in Atwood until she visited a friend, Ulery Nellans, near there. He took Mary into Atwood so she can now say she has been in every town in Kosciusko County.

    While street commissioner Aker is cleaning the East Center Street sewer system, Warsaw-Winona street car patrons are required to detour from Park Ave. to Tamarack Street. One motorman and one conductor join the passengers and walk the block at each trip to board the waiting car. Two cars are being used during the repairing.
