    Thanks to the contributions of area businesses and Tri Kappa Sorority, the Warsaw Community HIgh School marching band now has a trailer to transport uniforms, instruments and props to performances and contests. The trailer was purchased by the Warsaw Band Boosters.

Dec. 10 1972

    A $3,600 nondirectional homing beacon will be installed soon at the Warsaw Municipal Airport to aid in landing operations there. At the present time Warsaw averages about 200 instrument approaches to the airport monthly, and the feasibility of a relay system or remote receiver site between Warsaw and Fort Wayne is being investigated to aid the instrument approaches.

    Honors are being piled on honors for Herbert Ummel, 18-year-old Beaver Dam 4-H club member, who has captured one of two $200 scholarships for "general 4-H dairy achievement" awarded nationally in connection with the National 4-H Club Congress now in progress at Chicago. Ummel's achievement record went through county, state and national competition with flying colors.

    An all-metal fence post invention perfected by Henry T. Kline, of this city, and which no less authority than the great American Steel and Wire

Company has placed its stamp of approval with a handsome offer, has been patented by the inventor. The post, made of light metal, wide at the bottom and conical in shape to hold it firmly in the ground, is grooved with slots set at an angle into which the fence wire is inserted. These grooves lock the wires in place. Through the center of the post a wire lock rod is inserted, holding the fence more firmly than the slots.
