    Melody Feaster, a 15-year employee of Spring/United Telephone, has been named a technical assistant for the company in Warsaw.

Recently promoted, Feaster and her husband, Michael, have four children and reside on Normandy Lane.

    Thursday was Senior Citizens Day at the Kosciusko County 4-H Fair, and awards were given to the oldest persons in attendance. The female winner was Blanche Byers. She is 94 years old and is a resident at Mason Health Care in Warsaw. William Ahrendt was the oldest male. He is four years past the century mark and lives at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw. Both senior citizens were presented with a flowering plant.

    If four leaf clovers really bring luck, then Mrs. Mildred Hogan of Silver Lake should have plenty of good fortune in the days to come. She found 72 four-leaf clovers and 14 five-leaf clovers, all in one area, in the barnyard at her farm house.

    NORTH MANCHESTER - Solomon Hay has a six-foot potato vine on his lot in the west part of town. It is of the ordinary Irish variety, and in the start there was nothing to distinguish it from a lot of other potato vines. But it grew and grew. At last Hay noticed the unusual growth, and just to give it a chance he put up a rack to hold it. It is now six feet high and still growing.
