An acre and a half has yielded P.D. McFerron, of Monroe Township, approximately 300 bushels of potatoes, the largest ones weighing a pound and a half. The average run of potatoes weigh a pound each.

The potatoes are fine large white ones and are known as Early Coblers. These are the largest potatoes seen in Kosciusko County for some time. He expects to enter an exhibit at the Kosciusko County Fair.
