    Warsaw resident Teresa Stephens presented the American flag during opening ceremonies at the Kosciusko County 4-H and Community Fair rodeo Saturday and Sunday. Stephens and her husband both competed in the rodeo and were instrumental in securing the shows for the fair.

    Awarded the top 4-H honor, John Lash and Angie Bryant will spend the rest of this 1976 Kosciusko County Fair week bestowing ribbons, rosettes and trophies to fellow 4-H'ers as county royalty.

Lash, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Lash, of rural Mentone. Bryant, 18 is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Wendell Bryant, Pierceton.

    LAFAYETTE - Carol Mitchell, Rochester, is the most beautiful girl in Indiana - or so the "Miss Indiana" judges decided.

The 21-year-old Indiana University art student, who has brown hair and will be a senior next year, won the title and the $1,000 college scholarship.

    Roy Stoneburner, Dutchtown's enthusiastic alfalfa grower, brought to The Times office a sample of his second crop for this season of the Grimm (Cossack) variety. Since the 5th of July - just one month ago - the second crop, according to the sample, has attained a growth of 38 inches. Stoneburner has 35 acres now. Next year he intends to have 90 acres in alfalfa.
