    Jeff Myers, son of Kevin and Pamela Myers, Pierceton, recently completed his Eagle Scout service project, which will benefit Pierceton Presbyterian Community Nursery School.

For his service project, Myers made a set of 150 wooden building blocks of various sizes and shapes, a large block bin on casters for storage of the blocks and a bolt board.

    SOUTH WHITLEY - Joe Begley, a 1978 graduate of Purdue University, was recently hired as the new vocational agriculture instructor at Whitko High School.

He is a graduate of Tri-County High School in Wolcott, where he taught for one year.

August 3 1954

    Ronald Price Jr., of Bourbon, was recently selected to play with the National Future Farmers of America band at Kansas City, Mo., this October. Ronnie is a member of the Bourbon High School Band.


75 Years Ago

August 3 1929

    Albert Krull is the champion wheat grower of the north part of the county, reported thus far, having raised 36 bushels to the acre on 13 acres on his farm east of Milford. Krull attributes his good crop to the liberal use of fertilizer and lime.
