Results for the fourth annual $10 Million Classic Car Cruise were announced following events Saturday at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. Categorical winners include: Classic - 1957 Cadillac, Dennis Harris, Markle; antique - 1923 Cadillac, Mike and Joan Huffman; sports - 1958 Mercedes, Joe Halcomb; street machine - 1966 Chevelle, Fred and Morene Meer; rods - 1926 Star, Walt Adams; special - 1985 Invader, Jim and Mairs Sattison; and classic car - 1951 Hudson Hornet, Eldon Hostetler.
Betty Sombronsky is one of the new teachers in the Lakeland Community School Corp. this year. She will teach physical education in Milford Elementary and Milford Junior High schools. She is a graduate of Adrian College.
Chris Gilbertson, of East Main Street, tells us he can still catch fish with the best of them, but isn't as fast on his feet as he might be. That earned him a quick bath in the lake and a cold in the head, but nothing more serious. His ducking came while he was fishing with Jack Sellers and Thames Mauzy, also of Our Town, near Birchwood, Minn.
A powerful searchlight on the U.S. mail airplane emergency landing field at Goshen has been seen as far as Silver Lake, 36 miles. Many Warsaw people have seen it, flashing back and forth guiding the night mail flyers.
