    Pierceton National Guardsman Staff Sgt. Kevin L. Myers was a member of the winning squad at the National Pistol Championships fired recently at Camp Perry, Ohio.

Myers and his teammates outshot 157 other teams from all branches of the military service, gun clubs, police and civilians to win the top title in the United States.

    Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jordan, Rt. 5, Warsaw, will be honored by their children at a family dinner followed by an open house Aug. 30 at their home in celebration of the couple's 25th wedding anniversary.

The former Marie McDaniel and Robert Jordan were married Sept. 2, 1950 at the home of the bride's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McDaniel, Rt. 1, Muncie.

    Joan Horrick, member of Girl Scout Troup No. 5, has completed the swimming skill tests required by the American Red Cross for the junior life saving badge. Joan is the 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garold Horrick, North Columbia Street.

    A pipe organ solo, "When You and I Were Young, Maggie," played at 11:30 Saturday from WHT, Chicago, was dedicated to Elvan Whiteleather, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Whiteleather, of Winona Lake. This was an answer to a request, Saturday being the seventh birthday anniversary of Elvan.
