LEESBURG - Bryan Zeigler recorded a hole-in-one Saturday while playing golf at the Tippecanoe Lake County Club.
Zeigler aced the 173-hard, No. 3 hole at the club. Witnessing Zeigler's ace were Steve Ross, Jack Hosier and Dan Nigbor.

Charles McDaniel retired from R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. on August 1. McDaniel was a custodian for Donnelley for nearly six years.
He will spend his retirement years doing carpentry work, fishing and gardening.

Mrs. Emma Hoffer, of Atwood, was hostess at the supper meeting held by the Laughing Water Club.
Mrs. Chester Fields and Mrs. Charles Fields, also of Atwood, were the assisting hostesses. Games were played in which Mrs. Fred Hover, Mrs. Charles Fields, Mrs. Frank Stinger, Mrs. Ralph Fox and Mrs. Edward Boggs were the prize winners. Mrs. Frances Shaffer Sr. was awarded both the attendance prize and the mystery package.

The Burket Egg Shippers' Association is doing a splendid business with strong indications that it will continue during the entire season - until extremely cold weather forces them to quit.
The car last Saturday was the 20th and brought the total number of cases shipped to that date to 9,590 cases and bringing to that community a little more than $100,000 sold this year.
