    Grace Anglin won the drawing for a John Deere pedal tractor at the 1996 Kosciusko County Fair. The drawing was held by Farm Bureau and the tractor was provided by D&D Farm & Lawn Center.

    Fredrick W. Schmitt III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick W. Schmitt II, Warsaw, has been promoted in the U.S. Army to the rank of sergeant.

Schmitt is a military police specialist at Fort Benning, Ga.

August 24 1956

    Mrs. Robert Beauchamp, of Tippecanoe Lake, won the final match of the championship flight of the Tippecanoe County Club women's golf tourney.

Mrs. Ellen Rasor, who had held the title for a number of years, was upset in semi-round play by Mrs. Robert Clark, of Warsaw, who was defeated in the finals, three and one.
