    D.C. Haircrafters awarded prizes in retail products such as shampoo and styling products recently to three customers. To qualify for the prizes, customers had to purchase over $15 worth of retail products. Names were drawn at the end of six weeks.

The grand prize winner was Tammy Rhoades, Warsaw, who won retail products valued at $150. The second place winner was Pam Poyser, Warsaw, who won retail products valued at $50. The third place winner, Erin Rowland, won $30 in retail products.

August 24 1975

    Jerry Nelson of Burket has spent the summer playing in amateur golf tournaments throughout the state and that experience must have paid off as he took the Championship flight of the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club championship over the weekend.

Nelson had a relatively easy time in the 36 hole final playoff, defeating Broocks Dalton, 5-4 in the match play competition.

    Joe Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Munson and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Valentine, of this city, spent Sunday at Anderson attending a state meeting of the Chiropractic Association. They represented the Kosciusko County chapter at the meeting.

    Lowell Ohmart, Times carrier boy, 12 years old, landed a 9-1/4-pound pike while fishing on Pike Lake. It took the lad several minutes to land the fish, which, held upright with the tail touching the ground, was only a few inches shorter than Lowell.
