    Tiffany Lawrence was the grand prize winner in the Baby Photo Contest held during the Kosciusko County Fair and sponsored by the Kosciusko County Right to Life.

The daughter of Jeff and Tina Lawrence, she receives $100 cash. The second place winner was Michael Kausal, son of Michael and Audrey Kausal, and Stacie Hoffman, Daughter of Hal and Aime Hoffman, was third prize winner.

    Twelve-year-old Bob Sadenwater set a state record at the AAU meet in Columbus. He won a gold and set his record in the 11-12 50 meter breaststroke and took a silver in the 100 meter breast stroke. Bob has been swimming for the past four years at the Y.

August 24 1951

    When the movie, "War Bonnett," comes to town there will be four local people viewing it with special interest because they saw some of the scenes enacted. While Mrs. Omah Curtis, Mary Jane Shepler, DeVere Brant and Ruth Hubler were guests in a private home in Custer State Park, S.C., their hostesses, Mary and Beatrice Murray, took them to the location set and introduced them to many of the Indians acting in the film. Seems the Murrays, who are retired school teachers, had a hand in raising most of the movie extras and knew the members of every family.

    Dr. John R. White, of Warsaw, has gone to Philadelphia, Pa., where he will attend a meeting of the National Dental Association. He will also visit his son, Robert White, in New York City.
