    The Warsaw Track Club was newly formed this summer, and already the members have competed in a state meet in Terre Haute and a regional meet in Toledo.

Now, five athletes - Brooks Stogsfill, Dan Fussle, Jon Dock, Ryan Brennan and Brad Seiss - will run in the AAU Junior Olympic Games in New Orleans Aug. 7-10.

August 2 1981

    Leah Marie Allman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry A. Allman, Warsaw, and a senior at Warsaw Community HIgh School this fall, won first runner-up and Miss Photogenic at the Miss TEEN Indiana Pageant held at Indianapolis. She was chosen among 94 girls from the state of Indiana who were entered.

August 2 1956

    Chuck Bucher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bucher, of Beaver Dam, took top honors in judging in the Indiana Aberdeen-Aggus association contest held recently at Sun-Blest Farms, near Noblesville.

Chuck's score, 233 points out of a possible 250, was highest in a judging field of 143 4-H boys and girls.

August 2 1931

    A record crop of wheat was grown this year on the farm of Calvin Gresso, near Silver Lake. An 18-acre field yielded 780 bushels of wheat with an estimate of 43-1/3 bushels to the acre. The farm is tenanted by Omael Michael.
