Marine Lance Cpl. Albert Anderson was recently promoted to his present rank while serving with 2nd Assault Amphibious Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The 220-pound crossbred barrow owned by Cindy Kammerer, 18, of Leesburg, was chosen the overall Grand Champion Barrow in the 1979 4-H Swine Show held at the fairgrounds Tuesday. She is a member of Milford Senior Happy Bachelors and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kammerer.
Art Johnson, of Warsaw, one of the most consistent stock car race winners at the Warsaw Speedway, grabbed another checkered flag Saturday night in the featured event, as Archie Holle, of Warsaw, placed second ahead of Dick Briggs, of Columbia City, who was third.
