NORTH MANCHESTER - Warsaw's Steve Reed picked up yet another plaudit here Sunday night before he wings his way to Terre Haute and a basketball career at Indiana State University.
Pvt. David S. Wolfe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Galen B. Wolfe, Claypool, has been awarded the combat infantryman badge while serving with the 25th infantry division in Korea. David entered the army in October, 1951, trained at Fort Benning, Ga., and arrived in Korea last June. He is assistant automatic rifleman with Company K of the 14th Infantry regiment.
Salesmanship prizes for the largest number of Atwater Kent radio set sales sold in Indiana by any single dealer for the past year has been awarded to Fred Strauss, of Warsaw and Winona Lake. Strauss sold 82 Atwater Kent sets in the Warsaw vicinity last year. Strauss is planning upon opening his radio repair shop again in a few weeks and will show new Atwater Kent models.
