    Two Warsaw athletes were highlighted in Indiana Sports magazine, a special publication put out by the same people behind Indianapolis Monthly.

Articles on top prep stars highlighted Warsaw graduate Kevin Ault and Jennifer Kintzel. Named Mr. Basketball this year, Ault will play for Steve Alford, Southwest Missouri State, while Kintzel, a junior at Butler, plans on a career in coaching volleyball.

    Production employees of Light and Life Press recently honored Louis Stull upon his retirement with a luncheon and gift. Employed in January 1955, he served as a pressman for 19 years and as pressroom foreman seven years. He worked in the pre-press department from 1974 to the present.


50 Years Ago

    Receiving "good sportsmanship" awards during a program at the Little League diamond in Warsaw are as follows: Linda Truman, girls softball league; Dean Stamper, Little League; and Jon Swoverland, Pony League.

August 19 1931

    NORTH MANCHESTER - Lloyd Heeter has a good excuse now for not cleaning out mangers in the barn. He gathered an armful of trash from one of the mangers in the barn of his father, Jesse Heeter, and was just about to throw it away when he saw a rattle snake in the bunch. He hesitated no longer about letting of of it. It had five rattles, and it takes little imagination for Lloyd to hear those rattles, even in his sleep.
