Brooke Maze, 14, daughter of Warsaw's Jim and Bambi Maze, won the state championship of the hunt seat equitation class for her age group. Brooke, a member of the Kosciusko County 4-H Horse and Pony Club, and her Arabian horse, Sadarr, performed on Aug. 14 at the state fairgrounds.
Terrence D. Matheney was promoted to senior technician in the research and development department at Armstrong Products Company, effective Aug. 1. His major responsibilities include research aimed at developing new powder coating systems to meet the needs of new customer requirements.
A farmers' parade, featuring farmers' equipment of horse units and marching units, followed by a pulling contest between a steam engine and farm tractors, was held at 1 p.m. today as a part of the Farmer's Day Centennial celebration at Etna Green.
Mrs. Allan P. Ramsey, of East Market Street, was hostess to two tables at luncheon and bridge Friday afternoon. Mrs. A. T. Johnson won the prize for high score and Mrs. Lou Dunning received the consolation.
