Aloha Gest, Warsaw, had an unexpected greeting by some top Chicago Bear players last week. Gest attended the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, between the Bears and Cleveland Browns. Afterward she ran onto the field to greet her nephew, Kent Sullivan, who is a punter for the Bears. Word has it she was swept into a pack of Bears as the players hustled toward the locker room. Among the players she met and received autographs from were Richard Dent and Mike Singletary.

Some 27 junior golfers concluded a summer-long training program at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club recently with a tourney.
There were three age brackets, as Dave Ripely, Randy Baldwin, Jeff Lacey, Chris Cusick and John Erhardt were individual winners.

Ronald Dunwell, Warsaw, will attend the 22nd Biennial Convention of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, which will be held at the Edgewater Beach Hotel, Chicago, Ill. He will be an official visitor from the Oregon State Indiana Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha.

Ora (Fuzzy) Ferguson and his gang of linemen have been busy for the past week rebuilding the high power lines of the Winona Interurban road between Warsaw and Brownell Station, south of Akron. Some $26,000 will be spent for new insulators, wires, etc., and the work will require considerable time to finish.
